課程目標
This course aims to introduce basic English phonics to trainees and enable them to understand how most English words are constructed and pronounced so that they ca n apply the skills in the workplace.
訓練內容
- Sounds made by the alphabets
- Short and long vowels
- Consonants
- Common Patterns (e.g. C V, V C, C V C, etc)
- Consonant clusters and some examples ( double consonants, blends & digraphs）
- Homophones
- Vowel sounds change in Contractions.
- Past tense endings and some special sounds
- ‘r’ as a vowel modifier
- Common prefixes and suffixes
- Silent Letters
- Syllables and word stress
- Intonation
報讀資格
- Holder of “Foundation Certificate in Basic English Vocabulary in Use I (Part time)time” of ERB, or equivalent; or
- Pass the entry test
學費
- $0 (豁免) / $375 (高額資助) / $1,250 (一般資助)
學費資助
- 失業人士 (包括待業及失學)及低收入人士 (每月收入為$12,500 或以 下)， 可申請豁免繳費。
- 每月收入為$12,501 – $20,000 的人士可申請「高額資助學費」。
- 每月收入為$20,001 或以上的人士須繳交「一般資助學費」。
